Cooking Spray or Olive Oil
1 medium Onion, Chopped
1 pound Ground Venison (Or Bear, Moose, etc)
1 tablespoon Paprika
2 teaspoon Onion Powder
2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Chili Powder
1 teaspoon Dried Parsley Optional)
1 teaspoon Salt (More or Less to Taste)
½ teaspoon Black Pepper (More or Less to Taste)
1 (8 ounce) can Tomato Sauce
3 cups Beef Bone Broth (or Regular Beef Broth)
1 cup Uncooked Tubular Pasta
2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Instructions
If making this recipe while camping: Mix together the seasonings and pasta in a mason jar before you leave.
CanCooker Method
Spray with CanCooker with nonstick cooking spray or 1 tablespoon of olive oil and add in onions. Allow the onions to cook for a couple minutes before adding in ground venison. Cook the venison until it’s browned but still pink. Drain any fat with a paper towel if needed.
Add in tomato sauce, bone broth, and mason jar contents. Mix well then latch with the lid of the Cancooker.
Allow to cook for 40-45 minutes with the lid latched. Pasta should be fully cooked. Add in cheese and mix until melted, then serve.
Dutch Oven Method:
If using a Dutch oven and a small amount of cooking oil to the bottom of the pan if not well seasoned then add in onions. Allow the onions to cook for about 5 minutes stirring often
Add in ground venison and cook it until its mostly brown but still has some pink. Drain with a paper towel if needed.
Add in tomato sauce, bone broth, and mason jar contents and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cook for 12-15 minutes or until the pasta is tender and fully cooked.
