These Venison Sloppy Joe Sliders are one of my favorite slider recipes. Everyone loves the classic sloppy joe recipe, so why not serve it in mini form? These Venison Sloppy Joe Sliders feature ground venison, diced onion, diced bell peppers, melty cheese and a simple yet flavorful homemade sloppy joe sauce. Plus, the melted garlic butter topping takes the sliders to a whole new level. This recipe is quick and easy to make. Which makes it a great game day appetizer, a hunting camp snack, or a fun weeknight dinner.

I can’t believe there’s some people out there that have never tried a sloppy joe. Especially not with their game meat. It’s one of my favorite classic dinners and I think venison is just meant to be served in sloppy joe form. I’ve played around with different recipes for the sauce, but this one in the recipe is my go to. It’s simple- ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. When combined with the other spices and ingredients in this recipe, it’s a flavor combination that’s just meant to be. It has the perfect balance of tangy and sweet.

Notes
Make In Advance:Â
-
- If you need to make these Venison Sloppy Joe Sliders ahead of time, I would make ONLY the meat mixture ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve the sliders. The buns will get too wet and fall apart if you try to assemble the sandwiches ahead of time. You may also need to adjust the cooking time to ensure the sloppy joe mixture is heated back up thoroughly.Â
